I'll go to Bulgaria at the thalassaemia conference for patients and parents

I'll spend 2 days at the 4th European symposium on rare anaemias and the 3rd Bulgarian national thalassaemia conference for patients and parents, in Sofia on November 19-20 2011.

I'll go with my friend Stav Melides, a parent of a Thalassemia patient, Cure Thalassemia international liaison officer and former TIF director.

I'll meet patients, parents and doctors from Europe and the Middle-East, to further improve my knowledge of the needs of the thalassemia community.

I'll talk at the workshop "“Social Business: make the difference” of the Yunus Social Business Center University of Florence

On June 28th (Prof. Yunus' birthday) there will be the social business day in many cities of the world. Last year I attended the first edition in Dhaka; this year I'll be a speaker at the italian edition organized in Prato by the Yunus Social Business Center University of Florence.

I'll talk about the Cure Thalassemia Social Business (I'm cofounder and chairman); I'm very happy to have the possibility to tell more about what we are doing in India.
Other speakers will be professional social business investors.

I'll talk at the St John's University, case-study for marketing class in the MBA

I have 2 news regarding the St John's University, Rome Campus:

• I'll give a lecture to all the students on Cure Thalassemia and social business
• in the MKT700 Marketing Management class of the MBA Program, I'll give a challenge to the students, and they will have to find the solution, using the MakeSense model. The students will act like a consultancy company for Cure Thalassemia, which is a case study for them.

Thanks a lot to Alessandro Signorini, for me it is an honour and a great opportunity for Cure Thalassemia to have smart young people helping us.

My impressions after the TIF conference on Thalassemia

As I had already wrote, I've been 2 days at the TIF thalassemia conference in Turkey. I've met dozens parents, doctors and patients from many countries:
India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Morocco, Palestine, Jourdan, USA, Canada, Australia,Turkey, Israel, Greece, Cyprus, Netherlands, UK, Russia, Azerbaijan.

I''ve been there with my friend Stav Melides, a parent of a Thalassemia patient, and former TIF director.

The good news is that most people

• are in favour of Bone Marrow Transplantation,
• like our project to cure thalassemia patients using the social business model of the Nobel Prize Prof. Yunus.

In our indian Cure Thalassemia BMT unit, we plan to attract patiens from many countries of the world.

I'm very happy, this has been another important step.

I'll go to the TIF international conference on Thalassemia

I'll spend 2 days at the TIF thalassemia conference in Turkey; with more than 1,000 participants, it is the most important wordlwide conference on this topic.

I'll meet

• parents
• patients 
• doctors

from all over the world, to have their feedback about Cure Thalassemia and see how we can better serve the Thalassemia community worldwide.

I'll go with my friend Stav Melides, a parent of a Thalassemia patient, and former TIF director.

I'm very happy to go there, and I'll do my best to talk to as many people as possible to fine tune the Social Business "Cure Thalassemia" project, who will soon start doing Bone Marrow Transplantation in India.

ASVI Open Day in Rome, I'll be there

I'll be attending the ASVI Open Day in Rome, on March 31st afternoon.

You'll meet other teachers and the ASVI staff, and you can ask questions on the different masters in non-profit and social business, and what kind of work you can find.

I'll talk at the California Institute for Social Business (CISB) in November

I've been invited to talk at the California Institute for Social Business (CISB), which is  a in collaboration with Professor Yunus and was established as part of the CSU Channel Islands’ commitment to prepare students for the world they will inherit upon graduation.

Building on the four pillars of the University, CISB exposes students to opportunities for learning about and addressing local and far-reaching social ills through the application, study and development of Professor Yunus’ notions of Social Business.

I met them at the Global Social Business Sumit last November. 

I'm honored to give a lecture and to meet the students to share with them my passion for social business. I should go in November.

Professor Yunus otfen says that to have a better future we must start with young people, givigin them an alternative and realistic model comperad to the one we have now; this is the reason why we spends so many energies with universities. For what I can do, I'm doing the same (like in Bocconi University, Innovation Lab, Glasgow Caledonian University, ASVI, John Cabot University and University of Svizzera Italiana)

I'll talk at the University of Svizzera Italiana at the special workshop on Social Business

On March 9th Social Business Earth will hold a special workshop on Social Business at the Univertisy of Svizzera Italiana.

I will be held within the Course of Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice (Master of Management, prof. Gianluca Colombo).

I'll talk (in videoconference) about Cure Thalassemia and my experience in Social Business.
It is going to be very interesting, and I'll also have a Q&A session. The agenda is here.

I'll talk at the John Cabot University about the need for social business entrepreneurs

I've been invited to talk at the John Cabot University in Rome about Social Business and what we are doing with Cure Thalassemia in India.

I'll address the business students on the need for social business entrepreneurs. Several professor will be bringing their entire classes  Students will be coming from a wide range of classes including 

• Business Ethics
• Principles of Management
• International Management and Entrepreneurship
• Social Marketing and Fundraising

It will be on March 2nd at 6.30 PM at Tiber campus.

I've talked at the ASVI workshop on Social Business

Yesterday I've been at ASVI (School for Management & Social Change), and during the workshop on Social Business I've talked about my experience in this topic a I've shown a current draft of the business plan of Cure Thalassemia; I had a lot of valuable feedback.

I've received tons of questions about the business plan and on Social Business in general.

Once more, I've seen that the topic of Social Business, as defined by Prof. Yunus, interests many people, who want to better understand it to start doing and/or working in a Social Business.

I'll be in touch with the attendees through the social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) and of course this blog.

It is the third time in a few months that I talk during ASVI workshops, and I'll keep collaborating with them in the future, stay tuned! 

What one persone told me at the end of my talk almost made me cry, and like the 7th principle of Social Business states.. "do it with joy"!
